Persisting

We have been focusing on the the Core Behaviour Persisting. We made block towers and persisted even when they fell down. We learnt persisting means not getting upset when something doesn't go according to plan. We also learnt we need to try our best and not give up.

Writing

This week in writing we have been working hard to include sound effects (onomatopoeia) and similes in our writing (hot like the sun).

We wrote about eating Pavlova because we have been learning about Kiwiana. The children came up with some great sounds they could hear while they were eating it.

E.g. crunch, swish, crumble.
